Melissa Clark
Melissa Clark is a staff reporter for The New York Times Food section, where she writes the popular column A Good Appetite. Since joining the Times in 2007, she has contributed hundreds of recipes and starred in over 100 cooking videos. Clark has authored more than 45 cookbooks, including Dinner: Changing the Game, Dinner in One, and Comfort in an Instant. Her work has earned multiple James Beard Awards, including honors for innovative storytelling and vegetarian writing.
She holds a BA from Barnard College and an MFA in writing from Columbia University. A third-generation Brooklynite, Clark lives in Brooklyn with her husband and daughter. Her culinary passions include anchovies, radishes, lox—and chicken feet, which she has loved since childhood.
